Introducing DOIs to PLSclear!
PLSclear’s search functionality has been upgraded, so you can now search using DOIs, non-English language characters, and URLs that include page pathways. Read on to find out more...
Searching by DOI: What is a DOI?
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a unique combination of letters and numbers that can be assigned to whole titles, individual articles, and chapters. It usually looks something like this: https://doi.org/10.1093/bjsopen/zrae049.
What does this mean for you?
Searching by DOI makes your search more specific.
Not only that, but when searching by DOI, key information, such as article and chapter titles, page numbers, and word count (and more), will be automatically populated into the online permissions form. This means you will spend less time inputting the details of the content you want to reuse.
How do I search PLSclear using a DOI?
Searching by DOI is the same as searching for an ISN or title name.
- Go to the PLSclear.com website
- Click on the search bar
- Enter your DOI
- Click search
Simple!
What if the content I am looking for does not have a DOI?
No problem! You can still search by ISN, title, author, URL, and keyword.
What else is new?
You can now search PLSclear using:
- Non-English language characters, and use them in the online permissions form
- URLs that includes a page pathway, allowing you to search for an exact website page, post, file, or article
