You can apply for permission to reuse images and photographs if they are published in a book, journal, or magazine. However, many publishers have licensed their images from a third party, so we recommend checking for a credit line within the publication before submitting a request.
To make a request for images and photographs, search for the ISBN/ISSN or name of the publication in which the image is found. From here choose ‘Image’ on the Content Details page of the online permissions form.
If you want to reuse an image found online, search for the top-level URL of the website rather than the page the image is located on.
