We recommend checking your contract with the publisher before submitting your permission request as some publishers do not require you to formally ask for permission to reuse your own content. However, many publishers will require you to submit a request to reuse your own content if you are reproducing it within a completely new product.
You can indicate that you are the author of the original work in the 'Details of Content' section of the Request Wizard form:
Author reuse is often granted free of charge, but this is entirely at the discretion of the publisher associated with your original publication. We advise all authors to make their request via PLSclear and select the option “Yes I am the author” so this is evident to the publisher. It will then be up to this publisher to determine the parameters of your rights granted and if any fees are necessary.
