Icons and symbols in the 'status column' of your Request Manager inbox show the status of each of your requests at a glance.
Pending
This request is pending and awaiting a response from the publisher.
Request declined
The publisher has declined your request. Typically, a publisher will provide a reason for declining such as they no longer hold the rights to the title or do not hold rights in the territories you've requested. If they have not provided a reason for declining your request, you can leave a comment to ask the publisher for a reason or further details.
More information requested
The publisher has requested further information regarding the request. Please review the publisher's comments and respond by making a comment on the request.
Quotation issued
The publisher has quoted a fee for the request. Open the request to review the fee amount and the quotation document to ensure you are clearing all the rights you need before accepting the quotation.
Licensed
Your request has been issued a licence. Open the request to download your licence document.
Cancelled
Your request has been cancelled.
Change of Ownership
The title has changed owner and the request is now closed. A new request for the content would be generated for the new rights holder of the title so you do not need to resubmit your request.
Closed
This request has been closed. A publisher may close a request after a certain amount of time without a response or because the request has been handled outside of PLSclear.
A closed status may also appear against a request if the request has been moved to a new ISN. The Help Desk team often move titles to different ISNs if the original request was submitted to a print on demand company or another rights holder. It is easier for us to move the request to a new ISN than ask you to resubmit so do check to see if a duplicate request has been issued for any closed requests.
Once a request is closed, it cannot be re-opened and both requestors and publishers can no longer make comments or change the status of the request. If you need to clear the rights for a closed request, you will need to resubmit the request or get in touch with the publisher's permissions team directly.
