PLSclear is a permissions platform designed to save you time and reduce admin associated with handling requests to reuse your content. Opting in gives you tools to manage permissions easier and makes your titles available to request by our growing global permissions market.
How does PLSclear benefit publishers?
- PLSclear licensing programmes - Publishers have the option to add pricing into the system to calculate licence fees and even fully automate their licensing if they choose.
- Quick licence creation - Publishers opted into PLSclear do not need to upload their own licence documents to PLSclear. PLSclear creates licence documents for you.
- Standard licence templates - PLSclear provides standard licence templates for free, fee-payable, and STM qualifying requests so you don't need to create or upload any files to the system.
- Dedicated permissions inbox - Goodbye cluttered inbox, hello Request Manager! The Request Manager inbox keeps all your requests in one place. Correspondence between you and the requestor are held against each request so you aren't sifting through follow up emails for details.
- Filtered requests - Requests are only delivered to your inbox if the title is linked to your account so you won't receive requests for titles published elsewhere.
- Credit and debit card payments - We offer users the option to pay for requests by credit or debit card, making it possible for publishers to charge for smaller amounts of content without having to raise an invoice.
- Credit control provided by PLS - PLS provides full credit control for all paid for and invoiced requests.
- Cloud-based - No need to install or host software. Access your permissions anywhere at any time from your browser.
- Easy opt in - If you are already signed up to PLS for collective licensing services, your titles are already available in the system. You can simply add a link to PLSclear to your website and start using PLSclear right away.
- PLSclear help desk support - Support is available from the PLSclear help desk team for you and your requestors.
- Access to a global permissions market - 80% of traffic to the PLSclear platform is from outside of the UK, making it a truly global permissions platform.
How to sign up?
It is free to sign up and there are no annual subscriptions or set up fees. Instead, we take a 12% handling fee on paid for requests.
If you are signed up to PLS for collective licensing, we simply require a signed agreement and then we can switch on the service almost immediately.
If you don't already have an account, in addition to a signed agreement, we would need a list of your titles to get your account set up.
