PLSclear’s search is automatically set to ‘Keyword’. If you can't find the work you are looking for in the PLSclear search results, try searching another way.
Search by ISBN or ISSN
Searching by ISBN will have the most accurate results. Make sure the ISBN you are using doesn’t have any hyphens or spaces.
PLSclear will automatically convert a 10-digit ISBN to a 13-digit ISBN when you search. However, for the most accurate results, we would always recommend using the 13-digit ISBN.
Search by DOI
Searching by DOI (Digital Object Identifier) will return the most accurate result for journal articles and book chapters.
When searching by DOI, PLSclear will automatically remove the standard DOI prefix (http://doi.org/) meaning you can search either by using the full DOI URL or just the pathway specific to the article/chapter you wish to reuse.
Looking for a journal or magazine article?
Search for the title or ISSN of the journal in which the article is published or, alternatively, for the specific DOI associated to the article.
Looking for a book chapter?
Search for the title or ISBN of the book that the chapter is published in or, alternatively, for the specific DOI associated to the chapter.
Looking for online content?
Search for the top-level URL (website address) of the publication rather than the page the article is located on.
Looking for a poem?
Search for the title or ISBN of the book that the poem is published in. We’ll ask you to provide the title of the poem once you’ve selected the book.
Searching by author name?
We don't hold all author information for the titles in our database as this is pulled in from external sources.
We don't hold article level information for journals or magazines. If you are looking for the author of an article, you will need to search for the title of the journal or magazine their work is published in.
Search Tips!
Try adding quotation marks (") around your search if you are searching for a specific title as it will narrow your results.
If you are searching by keyword, you can add the title and publisher name into the search bar for better results.
