Step 1: Search for a Title
On the PLSclear.com homepage, search for the title, ISBN, ISSN or top-level URL of the material you are seeking permission to reuse.
PLSclear’s search is automatically set to ‘Keyword’ however, you will receive the most accurate results by searching with an identifier (ISBN or ISSN) without any spaces or hyphens.
Step 2: Select the title you want to reuse
Step 3: Login or Register for a PLSclear account
If you are registering for a PLSclear account, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address.
Step 4: Select the type of content you want to reuse
You can request up to 25 of each category on this page. If you need to request more than 25 items of content, you will need to submit more than one request.
Step 5: Provide more details about the content you are reusing
Fill in the required fields about the content you are using from the original work.
Step 6: Tell us how you will be reusing the content
If you are unable to find the format you require, please select the closest match. You will be able to provide additional information about your project later in the form.
Step 7: Enter details about your new publication
If you do not have information such as print run or retail price, please check with your publisher. You can provide estimate figures but please indicate that the numbers are estimates and may change.
Step 8: Review and submit your request
Review the information you have provided before submitting your request as these details cannot be changed after your request is submitted.
Step 9: Licensee Details
Enter the personal details under which you want to submit your request.
Step 10: Next Steps
You will be notified that your request has been submitted. All responses to your request will be made through the your Request Manager.
